Research is a crucial part of any production, as part of your pre-production you should collect both primary and secondary research to help your production be credible and informative. What you discover may impact the direction of your video because you can go in depth, tell people what they don’t already know and inform them.
A good place to start is with a couple of questions you want to answer. You want to inform your video’s audience so you need to tell them things they don’t already know. Primary research is the best way to asses what your target audience know about the topic.
I created a questionnaire – https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dDRXbnh1LUpibTBNOHpDV1lVT3VlNUE6MQ to collect some primary quantitative research on my target audience and the chamber. I will ask a group of people to partake in a focus group talking about BRIC-ITT to get some primary qualitative research.
To collect some secondary research I have looked at online articles, videos and websites.
